I feel truly blessed to serve as the Middle School Math and Science teacher here at St. Charles Borromeo. Returning to the classroom after time at home raising my children has been a joyful homecoming—one filled with purpose, growth, and God’s grace. I’m grateful to once again be walking alongside students on their educational and spiritual journeys.
Teaching has been part of my life’s calling for as long as I can remember. My journey began at Michigan State University, where I worked at The Bug House, creating hands-on experiences to help children explore and appreciate the wonders of God’s creation—especially His tiniest creatures. About twenty years ago, I earned my teaching license in English and Social Studies, and have since taught in a wide variety of settings throughout New Mexico.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with learners of all ages—from elementary students and after-school drama groups, to private tutoring and adult education for high school equivalency. Each experience has deepened my belief that teaching is not just a profession, but a path to ongoing discovery and service.
I am passionate about learning, and I believe that teaching is one of the greatest ways to remain a lifelong learner. Through math, puzzles, lab experiments, and scientific inquiry, I hope to help students encounter the wonder of God’s creation and the beauty of His order in the world.
It is a joy and an honor to be part of this Christ-centered community, where faith and learning grow hand in hand.
