My name is Mrs. Brianna Thompson. I served 6 years active duty in the United States Air Force. I separated from the armed forces in 2020 to pursue teaching full-time. I had the opportunity to work very closely with Mrs. Christine Gaudette during the 2020-2021 school year to provide quality educational experiences to the students. She and I share a great love for the Montessori teaching philosophy, as I grew up in a Montessori elementary school in Florida. I have a true passion for reading, writing and language arts. I enjoy learning new languages and exploring various cultures. I am currently learning how to speak Korean (Hangul).
As the educational goals of our American society change, so too does the role of the American teacher. Presently, the teacher is a guardian of morality and American character, according to the author of American Education, Joel Spring. Teachers spend a great deal of time with their students which grants the opportunity to have a significant influence on their moral and academic development. As I spend time instructing the students, it is my mission to build strong, Christ-centered individuals who are confident in their abilities and know who Christ is to them. We will use this classroom to foster independent thinkers with an unconditional love for learning.
