I was born in southern New Mexico next to an open pit mine. Those born in this mining town are known as those born in space. I attended both Catholic schools and public schools, graduating from Cobre High School. While in the Army I attended Park College graduating with a degree in Social Psychology. After retiring from the Army I obtained a Masters in Education with a minor in Bi-lingual education and extensive credits in the School Psychology program at New Mexico State University.
My wife and I have been married for fifty-two years. Presently we are living in Rio Rancho, moving six years ago from Las Cruces. We have three children and four grandchildren. All of them live in the Albuquerque / Rio Rancho area.
In religious education I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to teach middle and high school students. While in the Army I taught pre-confirmation and confirmation classes. I continued to teach confirmation classes while living in Las Cruces. Due to God’s Grace I was also part of the establishment of two Catholic youth retreat groups {Circle of Grace/ Quest} who traveled throughout the Diocese of Las Cruces presenting the word of God by individual witness, praise and worship, and prayer.
I am blessed to be part of the St. Charles Borromeo School family.
